Update August 2005

I have implemented a new special response team "VipeR Squad" this unit will be used for any and all special assignments, search warrants, Meth labs, school emergencies, and things of this nature. The teams trains weekly and is led by Asst. Chief Tony Rusher and Patrolman First Class Gary Henry, The team is made up of 8 members and must keep in shape. The team has several pieces of equipment, AR-15 m-4, chemical protection gear, riot shotguns, tasers an so forth.

I have also purchased all the officers X-26 tasers to assist in their daily operations. The taser has already proven affective in two occasions in the past two weeks, The first was a man wanting suicide by cop, he was in possession of a hatchet and a knife and was demanding that we kill, but the taser was deployed and the subject was taken into custody without further incident he was later evaluated for a mental disturbance and will go to facility in another state until he flattens his parole.

The second incident was when officers responded to a call in which a subject under influence of drugs began fighting with the officers, when the officer deployed the taser that ended the situation, this same subject fought officers just a month previous and it took three officers several minutes to get him under control, with the officers suffering a few bumps and bruises, but thanks to the taser that didn't happen on this occasion.
