I am very proud of the members of my department, The officers, dispatchers, jailers and support staff do a very good job in providing a service to the citizens of Trumann. I initiated a strong effort to reduce drug activity in our city just over a year ago. The past year and a half has been very productive in regards to getting the drug dealers off the street. I have several officers who take drug interdiction very personal and this reflects in the number of arrests they make in relation to drugs. I consider myself very lucky to have such a wonderful group of employees who really care about their community. I try to provide the officers and other employees some of the best equipment possible.

I have purchased several new items for the employees in the past year and a half that will help us provide a better service to the community. For Example: 16 new Taser's, 25 new vests, new portable radios, new .40 cal Glocks, new police vehicles, new tactical gear, new computer systems for dispatch, brand new firing range, 1200 sq. ft training facility and several upgrades to the police station. The equipment and upgrades are to help us provide the service to the people of our community in which they deserve. The citizens can depend on this department always being here for their needs to maintain peace and security.
