2008 proves to be an exciting year for USACOPS and its members!

The first week of March saw the launch of several new and exciting features on USACOPS.  A gallery ( http://www.usacops.com/gallery) is now available to showcase department patches and photos.  Other new sections include a link directory, product section, news area and videos.

USACOPS has also expanded webpage offerings to law enforcement agencies.  Public, non-profit law enforcement departments are offered additional pages to their department profile.  From About Us pages to Rosters, departments may publish additional information about their agency.

Departments may submit or update their agency via the online submission form at http://www.usacops.com/adddept.html  Photos, directory links, news, etc, may be submitted at http://www.usacops.com/submit

Background:

USACOPS started ten years ago out of a need for both the public and law enforcement agencies to be able to locate and correspond with other agencies in one centralized website.  Many agencies already had official websites but at times they were difficult to locate.  Other agencies, however, lacked the funding and/or resources to have an online presence.
USACOPS is a way to allow all law enforcement agencies the ability to be online within one centralized website that is quick and easy to navigate.  Agencies with official websites can publish their links on their USACOPS profile making it easier for others to locate them, while agencies without official websites can use USACOPS as their main online presence.
Since its inception in 1998, USACOPS has grown to include approximately 16,000 agencies in the U.S., with new agencies added every week.   We also provide a very popular Job Board where law enforcement agencies may post job openings.  This is all done free of charge.  USACOPS relies on advertising for funding.
