MARSHAL RANDY L FORD
Marshal Randy L. Ford started with the Green Mt Falls Marshal's Office in October of 2000 after beginning his law enforcement career with the Manitou Springs Police Department and then serving as a Lieutenant with the Pikes Peak Highway Patrol Rangers.
A veteran of 25 years combined service in the US Army and US Marine Corps, he began his second career in law enforcement after retiring.
Marshal Ford has also worked overseas in the Balkans and Middle East while on hiatus from his position as Chief Marshal in 2004 and 2005.
He is a licensed EMT-Paramedic and Colorado State Certified Firefighter. He served twice as Fire Chief for the Cascade Volunteer Fire in Cascade, Colorado and is currently a member of the Green Mt Falls Volunteer Fire Department.
In his spare time, Marshal Ford is an avid horseman, hiker, shooter and sportsman.
DEPUTY MARSHAL JOHN AMUNDSON
Deputy Marshal John Amundson began his law enforcement career with the Colorado Springs
Police Department. He spent over 12 years as a Detective in the Colorado Springs
Police Department Forgery Unit and spent 10 years as an adjunct instructor at the
Colorado Springs Police Training Academy, teaching the Colorado Fraud Statutes.
He holds an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice Administration from
Pikes Peak Community College; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from the
University of Southern Colorado; and a Masters of Public Administration from the
University of Colorado, and is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
After retiring from CSPD, he began service as the Deputy Town Marshal in Green Mountain
Falls in December 2006. John is a Scout Master and enjoys the Colorado outdoors.
DEPUTY MARSHAL DAVID P. SOYKA II
A native of Flint Michigan, Deputy Marshal David Soyka served as a U.S. Army Military
Policeman in the United States and served overseas in Germany, Hungary, Kosovo,
Bosnia, Kuwait and Iraq. He met his wife, Serena, who also served as an MP, while
they were in basic training.
Honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant in 2003, he attended college in
Florida before returning to his home in Colorado where he attended the Pikes Peak
Law Enforcement Academy and graduated as Class Speaker.
Deputy Marshal Soyka began his career with the Green Mountain Falls Marshal's Office in
2007 and is a Colorado POST Range Master for handgun, rifle and shotgun.
Dave is a member of the Green Mountain Falls Volunteer Fire Department and is a Colorado
State certified firefighter and an Emergency Medical Technician.
Dave's off duty activities include writing, reading, baseball and blacksmithing.
