The Resaca Police Department encourages all commercial vehicles moving oversized loads
throughout the city limits of Resaca to follow and obey the
Georgia Department of Transportation Rules and Regulations.
Oversized loads must obey all Georgia Traffic laws and Rules, and must have on display a
Georgia amber light permit if applicable, that is issued by the
Georgia Department of Public Safety.
Oversized loads must abide by the Georgia Title 32 Laws governing length,
width and height of vehicles and loads. Also, oversized loads are reminded that
they are not allowed to be transporting oversized loads (except for weight only permitted loads)
after the allowed Georgia DOT Rule Hours and Days of Operation.
