Foreword and Mission Statement

The men and women of the Marshallville Police Department endeavor to set a benchmark of excellence for others to follow. Therefore, every member of the Police Department is committed to professionalism, integrity and honor.

As members of the Marshallville Police Department we are charged with the duty of serving and protecting the residents and passing citizens within the City of Marshallville. We are guided by the policies of the Marshallville Police Department, the ordinances of the City of Marshallville, the laws of the State of Georgia, and the Constitution of the United States of America.

In keeping with these valuable objectives, we conduct ourselves according to the dictates of our mission statement that reflects the elementary principals of our organization and the foundation of our law enforcement beliefs:

"The mission of the Marshallville Police Department is to improve the quality of life by providing a safe and secure environment and, within the framework of the Constitution, to enforce the laws, exercise regulatory authority and preserve the peace while protecting the rights of all and applying the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability, in partnership with the entire community."

It is the aim of this manual to provide every employee of the Marshallville Police Department as much direction and assistance as possible in order to accomplish this mission statement.
