1. |
What is USACOPS?
USACOPS.com is a website that is linking together Law
Enforcement Agencies in the United States.
USACOPS is designed to assist law enforcement in their communications
with each other and their relations with the public they serve.
We are making sworn agencies a free
USACOPS profile that can include agency/department photos, text, a link to the department's
official website, e-mail address, etc.
Agency webpages are subject to the Participation Guidelines on the sign-up page. We reserve the right to
remove, delete, suspend, etc, agency profiles for any reason, at any time, without notice.

|
| |
2. |
Is USACOPS a law enforcement agency?
No. USACOPS.com is not a law enforcement agency nor are we affiliated with any agencies.
We are a commercial website that makes
webpages for sworn law enforcement agencies throughout the United States.
This site is supported through advertising.

|
| |
5. |
I need to email a particular department, but they do not have an email listed. Will USACOPS.com forward this for me?
We are unable to forward emails to agencies/officers. Department email addresses are the number one requests
from site visitors. We strongly encourage departments to list their email addresses on the site. Please check back with us often as
we add email addresses, links, and new items as they are submitted to us.

|
| |
6. |
I need a particular department's email address, fax number, Official Department website link, etc. Why doesn't the department have this information on their USACOPS webpage?
Email addresses, fax numbers, Official Department website links, etc, must be submitted to us directly by the department via the department sign-up form in order for these items to be placed on their USACOPS page.
If a USACOPS department listing does not have an email address, fax number, Official Department website link, etc, the department either has not submitted these items to us or does not currently have these items.

|
| |
7. |
I have information about: a crime, suspicious activities/individuals, etc. What do I do?
Please do not email us to report a crime, etc, as we are not affiliated with any law enforcement agency. Please contact your local authorities. In case of an
emergency, please dial 911.

My email account has been restricted or suspended. What do I do?
Please note that USACOPS does not restrict or suspend the email accounts. Restrictions, suspensions, etc, are normally put in place
by Everyone.net after a violation of their terms of service to prevent abuse of their service/network, etc.
Reasons for Everyone.net's locking could be due to being reported by several people from an outbound message,
your outbound message contained something that their filters caught as spam, or there was suspicious activity on
the account observed by their operations team. These are only but a few possibilities.
To ask for assistance for a suspended account, please raise a support call
here.
There is a charge for this service.
For free users, Everyone.net suggests you upgrade to their Mail Plus service. All Mail Plus subscribers receive
support by email. Users are also referred to their Pay Per Incident support [ https://controlcenter.everyone.net/amc/sscripts/payPerIncidentSupport.pl ]
Everyone.net can assist these end-users with issues, especially if they are having false positive messages on the outbound side.
Note that the email service is provided by Everyone.net, who is a third party. Everyone.net may or may not
release the account again if another breach is detected. So please take care using the service.

| |
23. |
I have forgotten my password. What do I do?
When you signed up for the email account, you were asked to supply a secret question and answer. You will be asked to give
the answer you created. Request your password reminder here.

|
| |
24. |
Why have my emails disappeared?
With a free email account, saved messages are deleted after 60 days of inactivity. Normally
once this has happened your deleted emails cannot be recovered. If your email address is important to you,
you should consider upgrading to a Mail Plus account, which has no 60 day limitation.

eBay sent me to USACOPS.com to file a report. How do I do this?
For those who have been a victim of fraud, eBay sometimes advises them to contact both their local law
enforcement agency and the law
enforcement agency where the person/company who defrauded them is located.
eBay usually refers victims to our website to locate contact information of the law enforcement
agencies in question.
Please note, you are not able to file a report directly on USACOPS.com.
Reports must be filed with the law enforcement agencies.
You will need to directly contact your local pd and/or the pd where the person/company who defrauded you is located.
Please search our website for contact information of the police departments.
Please note, we do not have contact information for agencies outside of the United States.
