The Dexter Police Department is located in western Dallas County along I-80. There are two exits that come into the city both the 100 and the 97. Our city is bordered by Guthrie County on the western edge, Adair County on the SW corner and Madison County on the Southern edge. We are a very rural community which is in the process of expanding, as we have annexed over 700 acres on the eastern edge. We are also part of a county wide task force that provides interdepartmental services and assistance as needed.
