07/06 I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE FAMILY THAT MADE THE GENEROUS DONATION OF $500.00 TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, THIS FAMILY ASKED TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS.

05/25/06 I would like to thank Rick and Kimberly Travis of SENIOR FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS, LLC for the $250.00 donation to the Cowden Police Department, this money will be used toward the purchase of a new Bullet Proof Vest.

03/25/06 A special thanks to Michael Dickerson for the donation of the 2 portable Vertex radio's that he gave to the Cowden police department

02/06 I would like to thank the members of the COWDEN SENIOR CITIZENS who donated $100 to the Cowden Police Department

01/30/06: Cowden Country Food Mart manager Kathy Long donated $100 to the cowden police department, we are saving to purchase an X-26 Taser in the near future.

The Cowden police department is also looking at getting an additional portable radio, and an additional ballist vest for our new officer.

01/03/06: The Cowden police Department hired John Dilger as a part-time officer, John has recently started the Illinois part-time academy which he will graduate from in Oct. 2006. I would like to welcome John aboard.

12/28/05: Tate & Lyle Grain Co. manager Jeff Standerfer donated $200 to the cowden police depatment, we purchased an Olympus digital camera.

12/14/05: CF Industries manager Jeff Christian donated $150 to the cowden police department

11/29/05: The Cowden Police Department received $500 from the Vandalia Illinois Walmart via the Hero Safe Neighborhood Grant. We will be using this money to purchase a new (PBT) Portable Breath Tester Intoxilyzer SD-5. I would like to thank Walmart for it's contribution to the Cowden Police Department.
