The police department has received several reports from other local agencies reporting an increase in thefts in our area.

I encourage every resident to keep a watchful eye for strange vehicles, people and activites in our area and I urge you to report this activity to the police department at (785) 742-7190 Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. or through the sheriff dispatcher at (785) 742-7125 or by dialing 911.

I urge all residents to lock all valuables, vehicles, gas cans, tools, etc. in a secure area to prevent possible theft. DO NOT leave keys inside your vehicle.
