Holyoke Community College Police Department Patch
Holyoke Community College is one of 15 state community colleges within the Massachusetts public higher education system. The campus is comprised of nine buildings and sits on almost 200 acres of land.

The Holyoke Community College Police Department serves a total enrollment of 12,862 students and approximately 379 faculty and staff.

The Police Department is staffed by one Chief and 11 full-time commissioned police officers. Officers are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year conducting both foot and vehicular patrols of the campus, as well as adjoining properties which are under the care and control of the college.

The Mission of the Holyoke Community College Police Department is to provide the highest level of safety, security and service to all members of our community. The motto of the department is "Community Service to our College Community".

To achieve this mission, each officer is a graduate of the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Academy, now called the Municipal Police Training Committee or the Massachusetts State Police Training Academy. In addition to this training, many of the officers have attended specialized schools and offer their services to the college community upon request. Campus Police Officers have complete authority to apprehend and arrest anyone involved in illegal acts on campus or on properties owned or controlled by the college.
