As a
community that continues to function as such, the Village of Sand Lake is a rare treasure. It is my pleasure to
serve in a place that values its friends, neighbors, and visitors like no other. The friends, neighbors,
and visitors of Sand Lake can expect nothing less from its police department.
It is my goal to provide the village with the highest level of professionalism and community service that a police department can offer.
In order to achieve this The Sand Lake Police Department has adopted an "open door" policy. We encourage anyone with a
question, concern, commendation, or complaint to contact us. These communications assist us in developing policies
and procedures and aid in fixing problems to help serve our village better.
As a part-time police department we have three major functions. We provide the village with a first line of defense against
criminal predators. We help to facilitate community events and promote community relations. And, we promote safety on
our streets through patrols and enforcement with special attention given to the safety of children as they travel to and
from our elementary school.
I believe that our community is a pillar of the Tri-County area and I look forward to many years of service here as our
village continues to bloom and experience positive growth.
Respectfully,
Kenneth R. Williams Jr.
Chief of Police
