Background Info: The Bethel Police Department is located in Bethel N.C. in the northernmost area of Pitt County. The agency has 8 full-time officers and 2 paid part-time officers. We serve a population of just under 2000 citizens.

Goals of the Department: The Bethel Police Department has always set goals that will benefit the town in which we serve. We believe in the Community Policing concept of law enforcement and utilize this concept on a daily basis. We participate actively in the NC Governor's Highway Safety Program with programs such as "Click It or Ticket" campaigns and Driving While Impaired reduction programs called "Booze It and Lose It" We conduct these checkpoints on a regular basis to reduce traffic related fatalities. Another goal of this agency is to keep our officers trained in updated classes and In-Service training to keep them educated on new trends and ways of improving their jobs.
