The Village of Coalton is located in northern Jackson County Ohio, with a population of 600 plus residents. Coalton has a 24-hour 911 service for Law, Fire, and EMS. The village is patrolled by a single town marshal during regular business hours set by the village council and enforced by the mayor. The Jackson County Sheriffs Office provides the police protection when the marshal is not available and is the marshals primary back-up on emergency and or non-emergency calls with-in the corporation limits of Coalton Ohio.
