The City of Warrenton, Oregon, approximate population 4400, is located at the mouth of the Columbia River in the county of Clatsop. The Warrenton Police Department is made up of a chief, one sergeant, six patrol officers and a police secretary. The Warrenton area is noted for, Fort Clatsop, the winter residence of the 1805-1806 Lewis and Clark expedition. With approximately eighteen square mile within the city limits, Warrenton is the fourth largest city in the state of Oregon. Logging, fishing, both commercial and sports, and tourism, provide the economic base for this scenic costal community.
