 The La Grande Police Department strives to provide a level of professional service to the community that enables them to report their concerns with confidence. Our service will be delivered with respect and compassion with a dedication to resolve the conflict, reduce crime, and promote public safety.

Uniformed patrols 24 hours a day, 365 days per year

Local crime prevention programs
D.A.R.E. (Drug Awareness Recognition Education) Officer to teach in La Grande area schools
Special Emergency Response Team (SERT)
House and employ country-wide 911 Center
Tracking and Narcotics K-9 and Handler
Full-time Community Policing Officer
Bicycle Patrol
Cadet and Reserve Officer programs
