The East Rochester Constable's Office in Beaver County, Pennsylvania is the only Constable's Office in the county
to deploy a TASER. This "Less Lethal" crime fighting tool utilizes Neuromuscular Incapacitation (NMI)
by causing involuntary stimulation to both sensory and motor nerves. This device is used all across
the country and is an aid in reducing the probability of injury to both the officer and suspect
in cases of non-compliance. Constable Setzer has been a TASER INSTRUCTOR for over 3 years.
There are still some police departments in the County that have not taken advantage of this technology.
Below are links to this equipment being used. The first is a training scenario, while the second is an actual deployment.
