The Police Dept. was formed in 1951 and had one officer. The department covers 38 sq miles with a pop. of 10,000.00. Officers handle all forms of patrol duties. The dept. conducts various school programs such as DARE and bike safety. There is one criminal investigator which handles all major cases.
