The university employs a full service police force to serve and protect the campus community. The Department of Public Safety enforces the criminal and traffic laws; and the regulations of the campus. Cheyney's police force consists of a Chief of Police, three Shift Sergeants, a Criminal Detective, and ten Police Officers who are all armed sworn commissioned law enforcement officers with full powers of arrest. Current campus statistics on crime and other information are listed in the public safety brochure prepared and distributed annually by the department.
