We live in a post 9/11 world and the company understands the need to protect the nation's railroads, even our small one.
The Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission has commissioned our railroad police officer, at the request of the railroad corporation.
Our police officer has the power and authority conferred by law on peace officers and shall exercise such power in the protection of the property belonging to or under our control of our our company, in preventing and making arrests for violations of law upon or in connection with such property.
The Clamland Pacific Terminal Railroad Company, LLC has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on trespassing upon our railroad property.
Every person within the State of Washington who, in such manner as might, if not discovered, endanger the safety of any engine, motor, car or train, or any person thereon, shall in any manner interfere or tamper with or obstruct any switch, frog, rail, roadbed, sleeper, viaduct, bridge, trestle, culvert, embankment, structure, or appliance pertaining to or connected with any railway, or any train, engine, motor, or car on such railway, and every person who shall discharge any firearm or throw any dangerous missile at any train, engine, motor, or car on any railway, is guilty of a class B felony and shall be punished by imprisonment in a state correctional facility for not more than ten years.
