Our railroad police recognize that service to the railroad community and visitors is a major function of their law enforcement efforts. All employees should try to assist citizens who are victims of a crime, need emergency help, assistance, or would otherwise be inconvenienced by our failure to act. This service can range from giving simple directions and advice to travelers to providing victims of crime with reassurance and support, to referring individuals to applicable social service agencies.
