Jurisdiction: Vader is a small town at the southern most edge of Lewis County Washington. The town is quite small and encompasses approximately 1 square mile. The town consists of approx 600 residents. The police department is made up of 1 paid police chief and 3 reserve officers. The annual call load varies between 550-600 calls per year most of which being traffic. Although the town is small it does have its regular share of problems. Recently Vader has entered a co-jurisdictional agreement with Toledo which is small city to the east.
