The St. Marys Police Department is a small town police force. St. Marys has around a two
thousand population and several businesses. We are the county seat of Pleasants County, setting along the Ohio river.
The day time population can rise to around six thousand and a large amount of traffic travels along
West Virgina route 2 through the city traveling to the area plants and other companies.
We provide 24 hour 7 days a week police protection with the four officers of the department.
We have a fleet of two patrol cars, a mobile command and communications SUV and an unmarked SUV.
We have an updated digital communication system through our 911 center.
The Officers are provided with a wide array of modern equipment to assist with their duties.
We have one drug K-9 unit in service and are attempting to obtain a second K-9.
The Officers stay updated on the latest training and education related to their
Law Enforcement duties.
