Three Rivers Park Police
All Park Police Officers are sworn, licensed peace officers. Additionally, each
officer is an emergency medical technician trained to respond to medical
emergencies and accidents which may occur in or near park lands. Assistance
is provided to officers by Park Service Officers (PSOs), uniformed, non-sworn
officers who patrol the parks and serve as a resource to guests.
Department of Public Safety officers are unique
for the manner in which they perform patrol
functions. In addition to four-wheel
drive vehicles which enable officers to access
most areas of the parks, the department also
utilizes all terrain vehicles (ATVs), bicycles,
snowmobiles and horses. All officers are trained
to use these resources.
