RIVERDALE, NJ - DECEMBER _1_ 2008 -- Today, LockWrite, LLC announced the availability of
Law Enforcement's first integrated handcuff key and ink pen designed to improve officer
safety and efficiency.
"The handcuff key and ink pen are the two most utilized tools in the law enforcement
field" says Travis Roemmele, founder and CEO of LockWrite. "I designed LockWrite
to create an easier, safer, and more efficient way to carry these critical tools.
As a police officer myself, I was looking for a way to reduce my risk and what
I carry on the job."
There are over 900,000 sworn law enforcement personnel in the US ranging from Police
Officers, Federal Agents, Corrections, and that does not include Private Investigators, and
Probation Officers who use these tools on a daily basis. Over 50,000 suspects assault
officers in an attempt to escape by stealing their handcuff keys, weapons, and
other objects annually. LockWrite combines an attractive and durable pen
design with a concealed handcuff key to reduce the risk an officer will be harmed in the
line of duty.
"LockWrite can perform multiple functions and that makes our job a little easier."
A.Marston, Maryland P.O.
LockWrite is manufactured using stainless steel, threaded brass fittings and a metal
ink cartridge ensuring that it is durable and dependable. This tool was put through
rigorous field testing by my fellow officers and me to assure quality prior to manufacturing.
LockWrite will be available for purchase via our website. Alternatively,
departments and agencies can order in bulk by contacting the company directly.
LockWrite, LLC was founded earlier this year by Travis Roemmele, a Police Officer in
Riverdale, NJ.
