July 11, 2005 at the invitation of the Safety Committee Mr. Fisher is invited to the monthly council meeting to discuss his ideas and that of the Committee with the full council. During this council meeting a motion was made and seconded to adopt the proposal and proceed with implementing the Village of Ostrander Police Department. The motion carried with a 5 to 0 vote. During this council meeting council requested information about Mr. Fisher becoming the new Village Marshal/Chief of Police by the August meeting.
