December 30, 2005, After receiving the recommendations of the appointed civilian interview panel, Mayor Jones appointed two new Patrol Officers as Chief Fisher watch on.

Patrol Officers J. Detter, now unit #254 and R. Gaines unit #255 were sworn in at the temporary police offices located on South Main Street. With the addition of employees to the newly formed department, village council is steadily working towards a standard practice of employee relations.

Council members and local residents are teaming up to complete the first employee handbook, standard application processes, and other common activities for a growing municipality that wasn't necessary before now. The Chief is in full agreement with the Council that "this is a very exciting time for the village and everyone is proud of the job they are doing".
