The Spartanburg Public Safety Department is located near the cross roads of I-26 and I-85 in Upstate South Carolina. It has approximately 120 sworn officers. Uniform Patrol Divison, Traffic Division, and the Criminal Investigation Divison make up the majority of the Police Services. The Public Safety Officer concept utilizes police officers that are cross trained as fire fighters. PSOs are dispatched to fire calls along with Fire Department personnel.
