We will be participating in the Governor's Highway Safety Program throughout the year. We will be doing D.W.I. check points with other agencies not only in Calhoun but in their jurisdictions as well, this is a requirement of the Governor's Highway Safety Program to qualify for the grant we now receive. We will also be doing saturation patrols and in general maintaining peace and dignity. It is hoped that we will eventually hire a third full-time officer and eventually start our reserve program back up. Reserves are a great asset for any department and we want the best.
