Our agency is responsible for conducting felony & misdemeanor-level investigations
of possible/suspected fraud in the county public assistance programs and other ancillary
services of the Department of Human Services (social services).
Some of the common cases we handle include: all facets of Welfare Fraud (food stamps, TANF,
child care assistance, etc) as well as other aspects of the social services sector such as
Domestic Violence, child abuse/neglect, elder abuse, etc. We work directly with the District
Attorney's Office when filing criminal charges, but have an excellent working relationship
with all of our local law enforcement agencies.
