Salem Police Dept. is a full-time agency providing police protection 24/7. The agency consists of 24 full-time Police Officers (1-Chief, 3-Lt., 4-Sgt., & 16-Ptl.) along with 7 civilian support staff (1-Secretary & 6-Dispatchers). An Auxiliary Police Force provides additional support by partnering with full-time Salem Police Officers during active patrol, as well as assisting with events such as parades, school sports, and traffic control. The Police Department logo is the "Quaker Lady" and their motto is "To Protect and Serve".
