The Burnside Township Police Department started to do patrol work on August 11, 2004 and we are
dispatched through the Clearfield County 9-1-1 Center in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. The duties of
this department is to patrol and investigate crimes and motor vehicle crashes. This department
has three police officers at the present time and covers 81 miles of roadway. The department is
presently working on accrediation and hopefully be moving into a new building in the near future.
