The Utah Department of Insurance, Fraud Division, investigates all types of insurance fraud ranging from false or inflated property loss claims, staged auto accidents and injury claims, health care fraud, and insurance agent fraud. We have a staff of 11 law enforcement officers assigned to the unit along with three assistant attorney generals who prosecute our cases statewide. Our staff is here to investigate fraud as well as act as an information resource to other law enforcement agencies.
