The Bristol Police Department was formed on May 9th 1903 with the appointment of Vernon
Brooks as a Police Officer.
Bristol is known as the "Gateway to the green mountains" because of its location near the first set
of mountians from Lake Champlain. Bristol is the typical New England Town.
