The Marianna Police Department, as representatives of the people, is dedicated to providing a peaceful, safe,
and orderly community through interaction with the community, its citizens and visitors, performing its
duties in a caring and professional manner in order to promote mutual respect, open communications honesty
and integrity, resulting in fair and impartial treatment for all.

We believe our basic duty is the protection of life and property, the prevention of crime and when crime occurs,
to provide vigorous law enforcement service.
We are committed to protecting the constitutional rights of all individuals.
We strive to treat each individual with respect, care, and attention.
We believe in open communication and partnership with the community.
We recognize that our personal conduct, both on and off duty, is inseparable from the professional reputation of
the Police Department and the City of Marianna.
We believe that abuse of police authority including excessive force, verbal abuse, criminal behavior, and misconduct
is not compatible with the sacred trust vested in us by the community.
