Chief Zack Orr
Chief Orr has been employed for over eight years with the Pleasant Hill Police Department. In April of 2010, Orr was promotoed
to the position of Chief of Police. Chief Orr is also employed by the Pike County Sheriff's Department, where he is currently
assigned to the West Central Illinios Drug Task Force. A position that Orr had held for over four years.
Chief Orr has numerous certifications including certified DARE Instructor, certified K-9 handler, certified Narcotics Officer,
certified methamphetamine lab dismantler (site safety officer), certified BAO Operator, as well as many other certificates of
achievements. Chief Orr is a graduate of John Wood Community College and Hannibal La-Grange College with a BA in
Administration of Justice. Chief Orr is also a graduate of the Illinois State Police Academy.
Officer Chris Dolbeare
Officer Chris Dolbeare was employed by the Pike County Sheriff's Department for over thirty years.
Officer Dolbeare held the positions of Deputy Sheriff, Investigator, Sergeant, and Chief Deputy during his career with the
Sheriff's Department. Officer Dolbeare was the Chief of Police for the Pleasant Hill Police Department for many years
until his recent retirement. Officer Dolbeare continues to serve as a part-time officer for the Pleasant
Hill Police Department.
Officer Dustin Newman
Officer Newman has been employed by the Pleasant Hill Police Department for over four years. Officer Newman
also is a police officer for the Pittsfield Police Department. Officer Newman works for the Illinois
Department of Corrections, where he serves on the tactical team. Officer Newman is a graduate of
John Wood Community College.
Officer Ryan Griggs
Officer Griggs has been with the Pleasant Hill Police Department since May of 2010. Officer Griggs is currently
enrolled in the police academy. Officer Griggs works full time with the Pike County Probation Department.
Officer Griggs is a graduate of the University of Illinois.
Officer Steven Lowry
Officer Lowry has been employed by the Pleasant Hill Police Department for over two years. Officer Lowry is employed
full time as a Deputy Sheriff for the Pike County Sheriff's Department. Officer Lowry has an extensive
background in the military.
