The PHA Housing Police Operations
POLICE JURISDICTION - GEOGRAPHIC JURISDICTION
The Passaic Police department has the primary responsibility of providing all the police services within
the city of Passaic including all properties operated by the Passaic Housing Authority. The department provides
full law enforcement emergency service to our residents 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The jurisdiction of the Passaic Housing Authority Police officers is contained within the geographical
boundaries of the properties of the Housing Authority of the City of Passaic.
The PHA and Passaic Police Department always work to improve on community policing initiatives which will include:
* positive youth involvement
* confidence in PHA Housing police officers by building trust and interaction with students
* addresses quality of life issues
* enforcement efforts
This unprecedented partnership between the PHA and the Passaic Police Department will be an effective and efficient
one by providing the PHA Housing Police Officers access to the PHA database information, analyzing and
reviewing of PHA security cameras for investigative purposes and utilizing other technical and investigative
methods to enhance our ongoing security efforts.
