On September 8, 2008, Village Council unanimously voted and verified
Sergeant Adam Jordan to the position of Chief of Police. This action will
take place on September 12, 2008 upon Chief Charles Garren's last day in
service as Chief of Police.
The officers of Commercial Point Police wish Chief Garren the best and hope he enjoys
any future endeavors he goes after. We would like to point out some of Chief
Garren's history in the area and with Law Enforcement.
Chief Garren came to Commercial Point Police Department after serving as a Deputy Sheriff
with Franklin County for over 20 years with experiences with Corrections, Patrol and
mostly within the Court Services divisions. While working as the Chief of Police,
Garren worked in this capacity for over 5 years, a postion that his late father
worked for over 15 years as the Village Marshall. Chief Garren has a son, Zach
Garren that is a Deputy Sheriff, will this be a 3rd generation at Commercial Point??
Again, we wish Chief Garren the best and hope he does not become a stranger to the area.
