Oftentimes we assist other agencies with cases that have an environmental angle, and are able to
develop probable cause (either for a warrant or for an arrest) using the environmental statutes.
This then can sometimes be used to develop a case on other statutory violations.
I teach an 8-hour CLEET course on environmental crime investigations--if you are interested in

I also have reference booklets that I can send out to interested officers which will allow them to
better identify what situations constitute environmental crimes.
